On January 26, 2025, the Central California Conference Executive Committee prayerfully
voted to call Michael Wixwat as Treasurer. We are pleased to announce that he has accepted
and will begin serving on May 16, 2025. With nearly four decades of experience in Adventist
treasury and a deep commitment to God’s mission, Elder Wixwat brings a unique blend of
financial expertise and spiritual leadership. Grounded in Ephesians 3:20—“By His mighty
power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare
to ask or hope.”—he has faithfully served in several conferences, including the British
Columbia, Ohio, and Minnesota Conferences, and most recently, the Middle East & North
Africa Union, where he also engaged in missionary work.
Elder Wixwat’s career in treasury leadership has been marked by his commitment to transparency and mission-focused stewardship. He holds an MBA and a BBA in Management from Andrews University and is recognized for his strategic thinking, teamwork, and dedication to advancing the gospel while ensuring responsible financial management.
Under the leadership of President Ricardo J. Viloria, the search for a new Treasurer was guided by three key criteria: spiritual leadership, financial expertise, and strong interpersonal skills. The Executive Committee prayerfully and carefully considered Elder Wixwat’s qualifications, ultimately affirming his readiness fulfill these criteria.
President Viloria expressed his confidence in Elder Wixwat’s ability to lead with excellence
emphasizing his spiritual depth, financial acumen, and collaborative leadership style. As the
Central California Conference moves forward, we trust that his leadership will strengthen
financial stewardship and support the mission of reaching and serving communities
throughout the region.
