Please share about your spiritual journey. I was born in a home where my parents practiced witchcraft. My parents dedicated their lives and the lives of their children to satanic worship and practices. When I was six years old I found a book of the wonderful stories of the Bible. As a child, I was shocked by the images I could see of such beautiful landscapes and families enjoying together.
This impacted me to such an extent that I felt the desire to know more. I started an evangelistic campaign in my community and accepted Jesus as my savior. When I made that decision, my parents did not agree with my decision, so they decided to kick me out of the house. I had no fear in leaving my father's house and wandering for the love of Jesus. That situation was very difficult for me because I was a child and had to sleep in different homes, but despite all those circumstances I saw the hand of God always guiding me as it does even today.
What message would you like to share with members of your ethnic community? In Gal. 3:28, the Bible says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave or free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” That indicates that we are represented by different ethnic groups. But it is admirable that there is a way to maintain that unity in the midst of diversity. Jesus is the only one who will allow us to be unified in the midst of our cultural differences. In our diverse communities it is important to maintain that unity in the bond of peace. May the love that Jesus our savior showed—who died for each one of us—always be in our hearts to love just as Christ loved us all, regardless of your nationality or culture.
What is your vision for your ministry? It is a privilege to serve our God through His church. Always maintaining unity in our churches and in leadership is something very important in which I will always be willing to collaborate, despite the cultural differences that exist. In Jesus we can achieve that unity.
I encourage everyone not to be fearful or daunted. God's work will end with greater power than it began. I believe God intends for all His institutions to thrive and be successful. This will happen through prayer and our faithfulness to biblical principles and prophetic guidance. We will work together and strengthen our spiritual life every day, being ready for the second coming of Jesus.
Encourage each member of our conference to work together so that many people, seeing our way of living, glorify God who is in heaven. Prayer, evangelization, and unity will give us the presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst and, as a result, we will have a consecrated and strengthened people. As a result, success in all its forms will be seen throughout our Central California Conference.
