FRESNO, Calif. — After more than 22 years of ministry in the Central California Conference, Pastor Justin Aguilar is transitioning to the Southeastern California Conference.
Aguilar has served in Central California since October 2002, ministering to the Cutler Hispanic Church, Woodlake Hispanic Church, Visalia Central Bilingual Church and Fresno Hispanic Church. He also worked at the conference headquarters for two and a half years as Hispanic ministry director.
"I have enjoyed the love and care of brothers and sisters," Aguilar said. "The response of newcomers to the gospel has been particularly rewarding. I have enjoyed preaching, teaching, leading evangelistic campaigns and seeing others surrender their lives to our Lord."
After a brief four-month rest and renewal, Aguilar will resume ministry in June at the Costa Mesa Spanish Church and San Juan Spanish Capistrano Church.
As he prepares to depart, Aguilar emphasized the urgency of the gospel message.
"I believe that Christ's coming is of urgency. The message of salvation in Christ must burn in our hearts, and others should see it and desire it," he said. "Christ is calling every pastor and every lay leader to set apart their differences and work united, shoulder to shoulder. Then the world will believe that Christ was sent by the Father to save us."
Aguilar requested prayer "that my heart will be fully surrendered to God's Holy Spirit, and that my service will be fruitful, thus honoring my Savior whom I love with all my heart."
The CCC expresses appreciation for Aguilar's faithful service and wishes him God's blessings as he continues ministry in a new field.
